Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Faces New Allegation of 2012 Misconduct
Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing new legal allegations after a man, identified as John Doe, filed a lawsuit accusing the music mogul of misconduct in 2012.
According to court documents obtained by USA TODAY, the complaint was filed on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The plaintiff, who was working in Florida at the time, alleges that Combs engaged in inappropriate behavior and later made threats of violence.
Doe is suing Combs for emotional distress and violations of laws related to personal safety and protection.
In response, Combs’ legal team denied the claims in a statement to USA TODAY on Thursday. “No matter how many lawsuits are filed—especially by individuals who choose to remain anonymous—it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never engaged in any unlawful activity,” they stated. The attorneys also emphasized their confidence in the legal system, asserting that Combs “will be cleared in court.”
This lawsuit follows two separate allegations earlier this month, in which Combs was accused of misconduct involving two individuals—one in 2015 and another in 2022.
These legal issues have added to Combs’ ongoing challenges, which escalated in September 2024 when he was arrested on multiple charges. He remains in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, awaiting his scheduled trial on May 5.
