Following the tragic death of One Direction star Liam Payne, his collaborator Sam Pounds is set to release new music they worked on together. The hauntingly poignant lyrics of the track “Do No Wrong” have taken on a new meaning after Payne’s untimely death at 31.
He fell from a balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 16. One verse of the song features Liam Payne singing: “Nothing come between us but just space and time. As I fall, fall further for you, I can make a lifetime out of just one night. Like there’s nothing just us two” Producer Pound announced the single’s release this Friday on social media, expressing his hope that “this song eclipses the negative echoes.”
He shared with his Twitter (X) followers: “I pray that this will be a blessing to the world like Liam has always dreamed.”

The Public Prosecutor’s Office in Argentina is still investigating the circumstances surrounding his death, which is being treated as “an inconclusive death”. An initial post-mortem examination revealed he died instantly due to multiple traumas and “internal and external haemorrhage”.
Emergency services were called to the Casa Sur Hotel on the day Payne fell, responding to a “guest who was under the influence of drugs and alcohol and who had destroyed some objects in the room”.
