Celebrity Parents Who Keep Their Kids Out of the Spotlight

Many A-list celebrities—including Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Jennifer Garner, and Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick—may dominate headlines, but they’ve made a concerted effort to shield their children from the public eye.
However, as their kids grow older, they are occasionally stepping into the spotlight alongside their famous parents. While some stars still keep their little ones away from Hollywood cameras, they sometimes offer fans rare glimpses on social media.
Here are some celebrity kids we rarely see, from Christina Ricci’s children Freddie and Cleopatra to Jude Law’s kids Rafferty and Iris.
Jude Law’s Children: Rafferty and Iris
Jude Law received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on December 12, 2024, and was joined by his family for the special moment. While his children Rafferty, 28, and Iris, 24—whom he shares with ex-wife Sadie Frost—are both in the entertainment industry as model-actors, they are rarely seen in public together. Law was also accompanied by his wife, Phillipa Coan, and Rafferty’s girlfriend, Rosa Ramirez. His other five children were not present.
Christina Ricci’s Kids: Freddie and Cleopatra
Christina Ricci is known for keeping her children out of the limelight, aside from occasional glimpses on her Instagram. The actress shares son Freddie, 10, and daughter Cleopatra, 3, with her husband Mark Hampton. The family made a rare public appearance together at Ricci’s Hollywood Walk of Fame Star Ceremony on March 6, 2025.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s Son: Knox
Though Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s children have become more publicly involved in recent years—Vivienne, for example, took on a producer credit alongside her mother for The Outsiders—Knox, 16, has largely remained out of the spotlight. However, he made a rare appearance when he accompanied his mother to the Governors Awards in November 2024.
Christina Aguilera’s Children: Max and Summer
Christina Aguilera shared a rare family photo in November 2024, featuring her 16-year-old son, Max (whom she shares with ex Jordan Bratman), her fiancé Matt Rutler, and their daughter Summer, 10. Fans couldn’t help but notice how much Max has grown—towering over his famous mom!
Selma Blair’s Son: Arthur Saint Bleick
Selma Blair and her 13-year-old son, Arthur Saint Bleick, turned heads at Paris Fashion Week in September 2024. Attending the Chloé show, the duo rocked coordinating black-and-white ensembles and even sported matching blonde hairstyles for the occasion.
While these celebrity kids may have been raised away from the flashing cameras, it’s always a treat to see them make a rare public appearance with their superstar parents!
