DeKaylin “DK” Metcalf and Normani are officially engaged, and they made sure to celebrate the special moment with the couple who played matchmaker—Ciara and Russell Wilson.
Following Metcalf’s proposal on March 12, the newly engaged pair FaceTimed their close friends Ciara and Wilson to share the joyful news. The moment was extra special because it was Ciara and Russell who initially introduced Metcalf, 27, and Normani, 28, bringing them together three years ago.

Ciara, 39, took to Instagram to share a heartwarming screenshot of their FaceTime call, where Normani proudly held up her stunning oval-shaped engagement ring for them to see.
“[Russell] and I knew when we introed y’all 3 years ago… love was truly in the air! Now y’all gon’ be booed up for forever!!” Ciara wrote in her caption. “This was the best news! [DK and Normani], we love y’all so much!”
In the screenshot, Wilson, 36, looked happily surprised, while Ciara beamed with excitement as the couple showed off the dazzling ring.
Metcalf’s Proposal: A Family Affair
Metcalf officially announced their engagement on March 13, speaking to reporters about the moment he popped the question.
“My family and her family were in Houston. It was my sister’s Spring Break, and I just thought about getting the whole family together for a big kumbaya and joining our families with the ring,” the NFL star revealed.
During the conversation, Metcalf turned to Normani, who was sitting off-camera, and playfully encouraged her to show off her ring, saying: “Hold that rock up, baby.”

The couple met at one of Ciara’s parties three years ago, after Ciara insisted that Normani attend, while Russell pulled the same move on Metcalf.
