Tansy is the eldest daughter of well-known conservationist Damian Aspinall and her pet gorilla is Djalta, one of the animals she used to play with as a child at Aspinall’s Howlett Wild Animal Park in Kent.

The meeting was their first meeting after being apart for about 15 years. Djalta was returned to its natural habitat in 2002.
Although they have been separated for a long time, both of them are seen still remembering each other. They hugged and joked in Gabon.
Tansy grew up with wildlife at Howletts Zoo from a young age.

After greeting Damian, Djalta hugged Tansy to welcome her.
Tansy, now 25 and working as a jewelery designer, said: “My sister Clary and I often play with Djalta and Bims and sometimes go to their enclosure to meet the other gorillas. “They are like our brothers and sisters.”
