Michael Jackson’s son made a rare appearance in Sydney.
Prince, 28, attended MJ: The Musical’s opening night at the Lyric Theatre in Sydney, Australia on Saturday, March 8. He was all smiles as he posed for the camera wearing a navy blue pin striped suit over a white collard shirt and purple tie. Prince attended the night solo.
The musical is based his father’s life that tells the story of Michael’s creative process and preparation for the 1992 Dangerous World Tour. The Thriller singer died in June 25, 2009 due to cardiac arrest caused by a fatal combination of drugs given to him by his personal doctor, Conrad Murray.
Prince’s appearance comes after him and his siblings, Paris, 26, and Bigi, 23, attended the press night performance of MJ: The Musical in London in March 2024.
Michael’s oldest son once said that he wanted to be a producer, director, screenwriter and actor. On June 1, 2024, Prince announced on Instagram a new event created in honor of Michael, called This is Thriller. The special event is set at the Palace Theatre in Los Angeles every five years in celebration of the hit song by the late singer.
The caption in the post said: “The future plans for Thriller Night will be taking place every 5 years. The next Thriller Night will be in 2027 to celebrate Thrillers 45th Anniversary.”
Prince has done his best to remember his father in such a light. He even paid tribute to his dad on the 15th anniversary of his death with a photo on his Instagram Stories of the late singer performing at his Super Bowl XXVII halftime show in 1993. He wrote: Miss you pops. The world felt better with you in it.
In February, Prince also posted a collaboration with the Tyson Foundation as they launched “The Passion Project.” The caption read: “Every child deserves the chance to discover their passion. Thats why we are launching The Passion Project, an initiative dedicated to helping children from underserved communities across LA discover and follow their dreams. Donate today and help turn a childs dream into a reality.”
